Wellness for all

Values & Approach

My work is grounded in neurodivergent-affirming, trauma-informed practice. I create structured, inclusive environments where children and adults with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) can engage in movement and creativity in ways that support regulation, autonomy, and wellbeing.

I work person-centrally, adapting every session to the needs of the individual or group. This includes:

  • Respecting sensory preferences and thresholds

  • Offering choice and control over participation

  • Using clear, accessible language and predictable session structures

  • Supporting independence without pressure or compliance-based expectations

My approach recognises behaviour as communication and prioritises emotional safety, consent, and dignity. Sessions are designed to support self-regulation, confidence, and positive self-expression rather than performance or outcome-driven goals.

I am particularly committed to equity and access for SEND adults, ensuring creative and wellbeing opportunities extend beyond childhood and into adulthood. My practice is informed by experience across yoga, movement, community arts, and inclusive education.

Offerings

I deliver inclusive wellness, fitness, and creative art provision for children and adults with SEND, working independently and in partnership with organisations including Thrive CIC, STEPS CIC, and Oakfield High School & College.

Provision includes:

  • Yoga-based wellbeing sessions (movement, breathwork, relaxation)

  • Adapted dance fitness (accessible, rhythm-based movement)

  • Art for wellbeing workshops (process-focused creative practice)

All sessions are adapted for sensory needs and can include visual and sensory supports, flexible pacing, alternative seating or positioning, and integrated creative or nature-based elements where appropriate.

I have also led art exhibition projects for adults with learning disabilities, supporting artists to publicly showcase their work and be recognised as exhibited artists. This remains a core part of my ongoing practice.
